In the Philippines, Mary holds a special and cherished place in the hearts of the people.
Mary, source of hope to the people
Message for the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
This year, the Message for the feast of Mary in August comes from the Philippines, written by the group of young IT members in the stage of fundamental formation.
The Holy Rosary depicts Mary’s life, which elicits holiness and inspires us to always discern God’s will. She is a model of humility and faith for all of us, offering solace and companionship, as we continue to nurture and affirm our vocation in the Teresian Association, encouraging us to follow Christ faithfully and closely.
We have a shared reverence and deep personal connection with Mary, portraying her as our spiritual Mother, whose presence is both gentle and powerful, and who provides comfort, guidance, strength, and protection in different facets of our lives.
Let us continue to look at Mary as an exemplar in the context of our Teresian vocation and mission, to inspire us to persevere and trust that God will reward our faithfulness even if our efforts may go unnoticed by others. Let us draw inspiration from her humility, joy, and obedience, desiring to emulate her virtues in our own spiritual journey. May the Assumption be a source of hope and assurance of God’s promise of eternal life. It is also a symbol of our own transformation and sanctification, as we strive to embody Fr. Poveda’s teachings until “Christ is formed in us”.
