ROME (December, 2009).- Loreto Ballester has invited all those who share
in the mission and spirituality of the Teresian Association to “prepare
to welcome this God who becomes flesh and sees us with human eyes. Through
his Incarnation, he shows us, and we can understand, how we are loved
and how we must love”.
The message of the T.A. President, made known to the membership at the beginning of Advent, underlines that “all of us, united
by faith in Christ and the spirituality of the Teresian Association, share
the hopes and searches of our time". She underscores three:
Peace, essential for the development
of human life with dignity, built through relationships with those who
are close and at the international level.
Food, given to us to be shared, mindful of the right
compensation for those who produce it, aware of the concerns raised
at the World Summit on Food Security celebrated this month.
Education, the benefits of education and culture, and
an expression that is so familiar to us. Education provides persons
and peoples essential means for their own development in dignity.
She also underscores that “united to humanity’s
searches and hopes, we join to celebrate with joy and commit ourselves
with audacity."
It is her Desire that "this Christmas be a new opportunity to welcome
and witness to Christ; to listen to his Word; to pray as a family; to
thank and celebrate, in the various ways in which each culture, according
to its traditions, celebrates and gives thanks; to commit ourselves with
gestures that build peace, love and forgiveness, that share the material
and cultural goods received".
